Female MPs cry out to Kadaga about sexual harassment

By Our reporter:

KAMPALA: Some female Members of Parliament (MP) have accused their male colleagues of sexual harassment.

Sources within Parliament have reported that some female MPs have already confided in the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga about their plight, stating that some male chairpersons of committees demand sex from them so that they can win favours and benefits like travel abroad.

A committee that was established by  Kadaga constitutes of Cecilia Ogwal, Amelia Kyambadde, Winnie Kiiza and Kamugo Pamela Nasiyo, is to investigate these allegations of sexual harassment of female employees at Parliament.

Early this month, over 50 female personal assistants to some MPs petitioned Kadaga claiming sexual harassment and low pay from their bosses.
