Pacific Hotel Owner’s changed after my arrest and torture- Bobi Wine

Kyadondo East Parliamentary Representative Robert Kyagulanyi has said that the owner of Pacific Hotel, Luiji Candia now the late, changed immediately after the commotion in Arua last year.

Luiji Candia, 69 owned Pacific Hotel which the army raided on the last day of the Arua Municipality parliamentary by-elections and arrested some politicians together with Bobi Wine.

Luiji died on Sunday morning at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

According to a family source, the deceased suffered a stroke last week while in Arua. He was immediately rushed to Nsambya’s St Francis Hospital before being transferred to Mulago where he passed on from.

But Kyadondo East Parliamentary representative, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has said that Candia’s (late) health was never the same ever after the commotion in Arua.

Bobi Wine said that the government made attempts to compromise Luiji so that he lies before the military court that Bobi Wine had weapons but he refused to adhere to this which caused him torture.

“Every attempt was made to compromise Mr. Luiji so that he lies against me before the military court. Mr Luiji stood his ground and refused to lie against me. From the time he refused to cooperate with them in their evil scheme, we have been receiving reports that his life was never the same. He received a lot of threats, persecution and intimidation – but he held on,” Bobi Wine alleged.

Bobi Wine said that Luiji would have amassed a lot of wealth had he chosen to lie against him (Bobi) but he refused to do that.
