Makerere Looses key don to UCU

Perhaps in a bid to grow their human resource capacity,Uganda christian University has decided to look for new brains within area of the same flock and this time round they have poached a key don from the country’s’ oldest University.

And to this  effect,there was heightened excitement among the Makerere University staff when it was revealed that Dr .John Kitayimbwa who is currently a senior staff at this Ivory tower had been named deputy vice chancellor in charge of academics at the Mukono based Uganda Christian University [UCU].

This came to light recently during the 9th annual general meeting for the Makerere University retirement benefits scheme [MURBS] members that was held at Makerere were Kitayimbwa who is the scheme trustee board secretary revealed to the members how he had been appointed deputy vice chancellor academic affairs by UCU board and that he would be quitting Makerere by December 31 2019.

He thanked all the members and entire Makerere fraternity for the prayers that resulted into the fruits saying almighty God should reward all abundantly however he exclusively thanked the over 3,100 scheme members for the support rendered to him as he performed his duties as trustee board secretary saying it was time that they began looking for his replacement soon.

The board chairman Wilber Naigambi congratulated Kitayimbwa upon his new assignment saying they wished him well in his new calling.

Naigambi later told the media on the sidelines of the meeting how they are going to miss Dr.Kitayimbwa a hard working young man full of wisdom and determination to serve his country and that as a scheme they wish to salute him for a job well done.
