Onduparaka FC has suffered a second defeat in the Uganda Premier League match played this evening at the Greenlight Stadium in Arua. The Caterpillars lost 3-1 to Sports Club Villa.
The home team first conceded two goals to the visitors from Emmanuel Kalyowa and Faizel Muwawu within 12 minutes of the first half, largely as a result of Defensive errors. But Jamal Maliamungu made a tactful curve in the net in the 60th minute to give Onduparaka its lone goal of the game.
A back pass error in the 88 minutes by Onduparaka, was smartly utilized by Villa and converted into a goal, giving the Jogos a clear 3-1 win. The Jogos head coach Ibrahim Kirya who was carried high by excited players said the win over Onduparaka was expected because they prepared for it.
Meanwhile, Sadik Sempija, the assistant Coach of Onduparaka FC said the back line players had loose spots which gave way for the opponent to secure goals. He, however, said that despite the loss, Onduparaka remains hopeful for a top-five position.
Anti-riot Police had to secure the match officials as some of the Onduparaka fans went rowdy, blaming their loss to bad affiliation.
