Hamdan Girls High school UCE Performance improves

Hamdan girls high school in Mbale Municipality has posted better UCE results and the head teacher attributes the improvement in performance to team work, discipline among the student fraternity and the general technical and financial support from all stakeholders.
Senyonga Musa told Elgon daily education news that out of the 98 candidates that sat for the examinations 2019, 17 scored Div one, 35 Div 2, 33 Div 3 while only 13 emerged in Div 4 respectively.
Senyonga observed that they managed to increase division one numbers and at the same time minimized or reduced division fours however sciences were performed better than the previous years.
He noted that the school with a student population of over 800 was doing well in terms of offering high quality professional teaching services to the students and ensuring that all scholastic materials needed in the school are available at all times.
Senyonga in his other capacity as coordinator of all Uganda Muslim teachers Association [UMTA] activities within the Eastern region of the country thanked the Kibuli based body for designing programs that offer a holistic education combining both Islam and secular that has greatly kept the Muslim students well-disciplined at all times.
‘Hamdan girls high school being the official coordinators of all UMTA activities in the Eastern region of the country is thankful to the UMTA secretariat at Kibuli headed by Saabwe Ntege with team for designing good programs that has managed to raise both the discipline and moral ethics of our Muslim student fraternity across all UMTA affiliate schools within the region and beyond’ noted Senyonga.
He pledged to work with all stakeholders in ensuring that all UNEB and UMTA activities are upheld at all times and used the opportunity to thank the parents for tirelessly supporting the school despite the many societal challenges saying they will ensure that they offer an all-round education package to the students.
