Ruparelia foundation,Kampala Central  MP Aspirant Babu donate to Ghetto folks

Ruparelia Foundation in conjunction with Cedric Babu the aspiring MP for Kampala Central has  embarked on a tour of Kampala central division parishes among them Kamwokya, Mengo, Kagugube, Bukesa, Nakivubo, Shauriyako, Industrial Area ,Kisenyi and Old Kampala  among others.

The purpose of the tour is not only to show love and support during these trying times of coronavirus, but to also sensitize the local communities on what precautions and measures they can do to protect not only themselves and their families but also the communities in which they live.

Under the theme of the day ”fighting  the Corona virus together”, Babu explained that Uganda was going through a difficult period right now which is the time for all  to show collective responsibility by way of uniting and following the guidelines as set by Ministry of Health as the only vehicle we can use to  control   the crisis.

Jyotsna Ruparelia who is the co-trustee  of the  Ruparelia Foundation pointed out that the corona virus does not discriminate against social class, religion or ethnicity, but simply kills all across board therefore it was  the time when society  must know  right from kindergarten going school children to  adults and grandparents that we must take collective responsibility to protect ourselves at all times.

Members of the communities in Kampala were all smiles today when they got free items of relief. 

There is also the need to thank His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni for taking swift and decisive measures to contain the virus, the minister of health, Jane Ruth Aceng and all the teams of health experts for standing out in their tireless efforts in trying to keep Uganda safe.

Jyotsna observed that as Ruparelia Foundation, Basing on their catch phrase “Enriching Lives Together”, for the past seven years, they have worked together with several people championing positive change in different communities across the country to achieve their goal of having improved livelihoods in society.

The Foundation works to improve a solution directly with strategic partners from the business, government and non-profit sector and that their focus areas include health care, education, sports, wildlife and environment conservation, disaster relief, startup and general welfare among others.
