Ugandans in Europe donate 318 bags of beans to Covid19

Ugandans staying and working in Europe among countries like Belgium, Netherlands and Germany have delivered 318 bags of Beans to the National Response Fund to Covid-19.
The members among them Titus Seruga for Ugandans in Belgium, Derrick Senyonjo the Netherlands and Michael Lwanga Germany respectively made their remarks in a joint statement that was read out during the handover ceremony for the donation at the office of the prime minister April 29 Jacob Kabigumira a top diplomat at the Uganda embassy in Belgium .
Kabigumira on behalf of the embassy in Brussels thanked the Ugandan communities working and staying in those countries for taking time to remember their home people during this Corona virus pandemic era saying others need to emulate them.

They pointed out that ,they closely follow events back home, our immediate and extended families, friends in Uganda constantly inform us of their financial situations, we believe this is general and have decided that on top of caring for those close to us we also want to give to others.
‘We are also hit by the pandemic and so badly, but we cannot forget who we are and where we come from, many of us are home following regulations of our respective countries of residence, some of our brothers and sisters are victims of this deadly virus, our prayer is that our brothers and sisters back home go through this period’, they noted.

The minister of state office of the prime minister Hon.Mary Karooro Okurut on behalf of the president saluted them for the timely gesture saying government strongly welcomes such goodwill people.
