Bishop Elijah Sebuchu donates 35M/= to Covid19

Senior members of clergy have responded to the president’s call of coming out to support the fight against Covid19 which continues to ravage the world today and among them is prominent Bishop Elijah Sebuchu.

His church Kampala International Christian Centre (KICC) based at Kyanja along Kampala, Gayaza road made a humble donation of 10 tonnes of high quality maize flour worth 10M/= and cash donation of 25M/= totalling to 35M/=.
While handing over the dummy cheque to state minister general duties in the office of prime minister Mary Karooro Okurut on Thursday, Bishop Sebuchu requested that all the food should be offered to two categories of vulnerable persons including single mothers within the community of Kyanja and the fraternity of Gospel singers.
“My humble request is that the food should be offered to the vulnerable community of single mothers within the church community of Kyanja and our gospel singers in the country “ pleaded Sebuchu.

Karooro in appreciation of the church donation said her fund had granted permission to his request as long as they followed the official guidelines.
Bishop Sebuchu said his church has a string of projects ranging from hands of love Christian high,international and community school respectively.

He urged Ugandans to avoid crowds, observe social distance guidelines, stay at home and wash hands at all times.
