Madhvani hands over promised two Covid-19 trucks

A promise is a debt as the saying goes but indeed the giant business empire of the Madhvani group has finally delivered the last two pickup trucks it recently promised to the national response fund to Covid-19 bringing the total donated support to over 250M/=.
GEN Moses Ali receives the keys to the two vehicles the group handed over yesterday as minister Okurut and fund chairman Eng.Emmmanuel Katongole and administrator Dorothy Kisaka cheer on.
While handing over the keys of the brand new truck to the first deputy prime minister alhajji Moses Ali in Kampala yesterday, the group director corporate affairs MR.K.P. Eswar said they were proud to be part of the people who responded to the presidential appeal calling upon all people to donate generously towards the COVID-19 fund so that the proceeds can go out to meet the needs of patients and frontline medical workers across the country.

” Madhvani group especially Kakira sugar Ltd, we are happy to deliver the two remaining brand new pickup trucks as recently promised after undergoing the purchase, registration and clearance of the vehicles by the relevant bodies of government and we strongly believe they would a good job towards meeting the transport needs of the Covid-19 works’ noted the beaming Eswar.
What the group donated recently
The Madhvani group through its Kakira sugar company brand has donated their recently produced and launched Kakira Klean Covid19 sanitizer product to several entities among them major Busoga based hospitals, Busoga Kingdom and ministry of health in the fight against the corona virus pandemic.
The first truck loaded with boxes of sanitizers which was recently donated and received by the prime minister in Kampala.
In a statement they issued last week in Kampala shortly after handing in the sanitizers, the officials said following president Museveni request to companies to donate towards the Covid19 fund, the group immediately ordered Kakira sugar to embark on an urgent production of quality hand sanitizers from Kakira’s best quality extra neutral alcohol [ENA] that can kill 99.9% germs.
The company announced its donations of Kakira Klean sanitizers to help the country during these difficult times to specifically support Busoga district where the sugar facility is located and ministry of health Kampala for all hospitals across the country.
The beneficiary hospitals within the Busoga sub region include,Jinja, Kamuli,Iganga and Kayunga while kingdom institutions got 280 Ltrs of Kakira Klean sanitizers.
They have donated a brand new vehicle with an assortment of goods to the national response fund to Covid19 and the donation was warmly received by the prime minister Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda worth over 250M/=.
