SMACK old boys donates to Covid19 fund

The old students fraternity of the 1970s from St.Mary’s college Kisubi (SMACK) have joined scores of other people and institutions in donating necessary items towards the Covid19 pandemic affected persons.
While handing over 200 trays of eggs to the national response fund to Covid19 team, Dr.Semambo Daniel a leader of the old students of the 70’s at SMACK said they managed to mobilise some of their colleagues who had not yet disappeared into the lockdown.

“We managed to mobilise our old student colleagues of the 70’s with a view of raising funds to buy eggs from the school farm and those available put together cash to effect this donation’ noted Semambo.
He requested the fund to pass on the eggs to both Covid19 patients and frontline medical workers so that the stuff can help boost their immune system as they struggle in combating the corona virus which still poses a big threat to mankind.
Semambo observed that they strongly encourage students while at school to join agriculture club so that they can master skills like handling poultry animal husbandry and veterinary services as they might be of future benefit to them alongside pushing forward their desired professions.
Minister for general duties office of Prime Minister Mary Karooro Okurut thanked the old students of this great school of all times for coming out with such a humble donation.
