Minister Kitutu for Manafwa district woman seat

The minister of energy and mineral development Hon.Dr. Mary Goretti Kitutu has vowed to grab the Manafwa woman legislator seat come 2021 on the NRM party ticket because she has delivered to the locals of that remote region.
Dr.Kitutu made the pledge last week at NRM party electoral commission offices at Kyaddondo road in Kampala shortly after picking her nomination forms.
The minister has been serving in Manafwa district as Bubulo East as MP but now moves to contest as woman MP for Manafwa district come 2021.
She was able to tell us how locals of the district urged her to stand and serve them because she reportedly has capacity to influence the district development agenda.
She replaced the former Bulambuli woman legislator Hon.Eng.Irene Muloni as minister of energy during the cabinet reshuffle president Museveni carried sometime back.
She has extensive work experience as a professional in the field of environmental information systems and management, with skill sets in remote sensing, GIS, and environmental modelling.
As a professional, she has carried out environmental assessments, geo-technical assessments, disaster and vulnerability assessments, and environmental monitoring.

Elgondaily news has learnt that as a public official, she has utilised those skill sets at the local and national level.
Minister Kitutu has participated in activities with international organisations such as the United Nations, Intergovernmental Authority on Development [IGAD], East African Community, and the African Union.
She holds a BS in Geology and Chemistry, an MSc in Environment Systems Analysis and Monitoring, and a PhD in science.
