New Kampala NRM MPs vow to uproot opposition

Members of the ruling NRM parliamentary winners for Kampala have vowed to kick the opposition out of the city come 2021 because they have never owned the city as propaganda may dictate.

The bosses who met yesterday evening at Imperial Royale hotel in Kampala during their strategic meeting hosted by the new NRM Central Buganda MP representing the elderly Capt. Francis Edward Babu said the meeting was meant to build strategies among the new team so that they can grab Kampala from the opposition.

‘We are strategizing to see how we can work together as a newly energized team of brilliant NRM leaders who have the potential of grabbing Kampala from the opposition members who have no potential and capacity to foster development among the urban population of Kampala’ noted Babu.

Margret Nantongo Zziwa from newly created Nakawa West constituency said the people of Kampala should this time round vote for the NRM because it has the key to the basket containing all the fruits that foster development for the people of this great city.

His Nakawa East counterpart Hon. Fredrick Ruhindi who was a former attorney general of this government said he was ready to bring about tangible development to his people once they entrusted him with the mandate to legislate for them.

The Kawempe north party candidate Tom Fisher Kasenge thanked the voters for entrusting him with the mandate to be their next MP saying he would do all it takes to bring about development for the good of the constituency.

Mr.Cedric N. Babu of Kampala Central thanked the voters who managed to give him over 26,799 out of over 33,000 saying that was a landslide and strong sign of confidence the people have in him.

Hajjati Nambi  Farida the woman party district MP said she was optimistic that the people of Kampala love her to the dot and that she would use her influence in both government and development partners among the international community to bring about development so that the women, youth, disabled persons and the elderly voices are heard.

Others who collectively thanked the voters for the support included Owobusinje Elijah from Makindye East, Sulaiman Mayanja [Kawempe south], Lubega Achilles, Makindye West,Male Charles [Lubaga south] , Betty Kamya [Lubaga north] respectively.
