The elderly people from Tesoland have asked one of their very own son of the soil to represent them in the next parliament so that he can effectively discuss pertinent issues affecting them especially during trying moments of the Covid-19 pandemic.
They have fronted retired Capt.John Etekat who had previously served them as MP Serere district,LCV chairman and chairperson Uganda local government Association a body that brings together all LCV bosses across the country.
The members insist that Etekat was their choice in this post because of his tough stand on key issues that affect his people and would do all it takes to support him for the slot.
Hoever Etekat himself managed to appear at the NRM electoral commission offices and thi website caught up with him and he straight way confirmed the developments saying the people of Eastern region have endorsed him as their MP for the elderly come 2021.
He said that he has a very rich manifesto for the elderly community of the region especially those who are faced with many societal challenges like medical grounds, poor welfare and marginalization by either own family members or immediate communities due to old age of which s not a crime.
